There's a reason why it's user reviews are so good and it's playtime is so high despite the issues with the PC port. If you don't want to buy it because of the PC port issue that's fine. While Yoko is left to basically "develop" the games plot via alternative means without touching the game.Įdit: I decided to post this on this specific comment because every other reply is basically just circlejerking Tl dr Square Enix didn't give them anything to work with after the base game launched and with the flop of 3.14 Square Enix abandoned support for Automata entirely. (Which yoko doesn't want to recycle the characters, but given that its square enix hes working for he's probably gonna be forced to) That being said Square Enix really wants to do a Nier automata sequel. Yoko was actually really hoping to do real DLC but they didn't have the money to do fuck all. They got a really small budget to do the really shitty DLC we got out of the game and that completely flopped. IIRC Yoko Taro said that Squeenix (no surprise here) wouldn't give them enough money to do anything with nier after it launched. Especially from the most stingy of all studios.
